Not HIM Again!

Usually on Thursdays Mommy takes me to school in the morning, but today she took me to the mall where I got to play with Ben in the play area. After a little while, Henry and his mommy showed up. Then we went and stood in this line (except I kept escaping and running down the mall; Mommy kept having to chase me!). After a little while, all the mommies tried to give us away to this strange man in a red suit and a long, white beard! He looked like the same guy I saw on a fire engine in front of Grandmommy’s house a few days ago.

So anyway, Mommy tried to put me on his lap, but I was so upset that she was going to leave me with him that I cried and cried! Henry and Ben cried to. So whatever Mommy was going to do (I heard talk of a photo) didn’t happen!

Instead, Ben’s mommy bribed us all with Teddy Grahams and my mommy took this picture.

Teddy Grahams make things better.
I didn’t like the guy in the red suit, but I had fun playing with Ben!

The Rules in My World

1. If I like it, it’s mine.

2. If it’s in my hand, it’s mine.

3. If I can take it from you, it’s mine.

4. If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine.

5. If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in anyway.

6. If I’m doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.

7. If it looks just like mine, it is mine.

8. If I saw it first, it’s mine.

9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically
becomes mine.

10. If it’s broken, it’s yours.

A Trip to the Museum

Today Mommy took me to the Museum of Natural History in Washington with Ben and his mommy. Another mommy from our Mother’s First met us there and we had lots of fun in the mammal room. There were TVs on the floor which was really silly! I really liked the panel where you could hear sounds bush babies made if you pressed the buttons. I didn’t really care about the sounds — I just liked pushing the buttons!

Mommy had me in my teddy bear baby harness so that I could walk around and not be stuck in my stroller. Ben was in his puppy dog baby harness and we both looked really cute. See!

I love to push buttons!
Don’t Ben and I look cute?

Surprise! Friends!

Okay, this was too weird. Mommy and Daddy took me to Babies R Us tonight to get me a Halloween costume (I’m going as Tigger!). Mommy saw that there was going to be a presentation with these two ladies who had written a yummy cookbook. Then guess who shows up but my best friend Henry and his mom! That was so cool. But then a few minutes later, one of my other friends, Calvin, showed up with his mommy! Wow, what a coincidence.

Disney World!!

Mommy and Daddy and Grandmommy took me to a really special place called Disney World. There was so much to do there! I got to meet Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Tigger, and a bunch of other strange creatures. They were much bigger than me and at first I was scared, but then I felt better (once I was sure that they wouldn’t eat me).

Also, I got to go on a bunch of rides. I got to go on Buzz Lightyear (twice), It’s a Small World (three times), Peter Pan (twice), Spaceship Earth (I was tired and I fell asleep), and Winnie the Pooh. I also went on Pirates of the Caribbean. It was spooky but I wasn’t too scared.

We also went to fun dinners and breakfasts (which is where I got to meet all the great characters). I also got to go to Typhoon Lagoon and splash around in the kiddie area.

And while we were there I also got to see Unkie Boo! We all went to this really neat dinner at the Polynesian hotel where they had a show with people singing and dancing. The food was yummy and I ate lots of pineapple!

Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip.

Oh no! Rodents of unusual size!
This place is cool.
The only way they could get a picture of me with these darned mouse ears was when I was asleep.
They’re everywhere!
And giant puppy dogs too!
Can you tell which one is me and which one is the tiki doll?
You’re not going to eat me, are you?

California, Here I Come!

Wow, what an adventure I was on! Mommy, Daddy and Grandmommy took me all the way to California, which is very far from here. Daddy had a conference to go to in a place called San Jose, so we all went together and took a really neat trip.

First, I got to go on an airplane. It was tight, and I had to sit in my car seat which I didn’t like too much. I was cranky for having woken up so early and didn’t sleep very much. Mommy tried to keep me entertained with some Baby Einstein videos. That helped a little.

When we got there, we saw all sorts of neat stuff. I got to go to the beach and see the Pacific Ocean. Then we went up to Marin County (driving over the Golden Gate Bridge) and walked through Muir Woods. Mommy and Grandmommy took me to Grandmommy’s favorite needlework store in Alameda, and then we went to Berkeley to meet a friend of my mommy’s for lunch.

Some nights, Grandmommy would babysit with me while Mommy and Daddy went out to visit other old friends of theirs from when they used to live in California. We all went out to dinner one night in Palo Alto and got to see a bunch of Mommy’s old friends from her jobs here. Another day, Mommy and Grandmommy took me to the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose and I got to play with lots of fun things!

Of course we also got to go to San Francisco. One day, Grandmommy and Mommy took me shopping, and then we went to lunch in this really great place that served yummy scrambled eggs (near the neighborhood where Mommy and Daddy used to live). Anther day, we all went to Fisherman’s Warf and I got to see all the sea lions sitting in the sun.

Then we got on another airplane and flew home. It was an overnight flight, and I spent most of the time sleeping on either Mommy or Daddy. We didn’t sleep that well, though, so we slept a lot when we got home.

It was a really fun trip!

Bumper-Baby

I got a lot of owies today. First, I was drinking my sippy cup when I bumped into the big football cushion in the living room and fell down. I must have bit my lip or something because it started bleeding. That made me cry.

Then later, I was holding a book and running in the living room. I tripped over something and the edge of the book hit me around the eye. It left a line from my forehead to under my eye and I cried again.

But it wasn’t that bad of a day. Mommy took me to a park in the morning and I got to run around on the grass and climb up and down the steps of the train slide.
